Let’s get that book out of your heart and into the world.

As a writer, editor, and publishing entrepreneur, I bring over a decade of experience across media and publishing—combining deep editorial expertise with a person-centred approach. My work goes beyond the page, helping you build a sustainable and enjoyable writing process that works with your reality (not against it) and supports you in completing your manuscript, building your author career, and achieving your creative ambitions.

About Me

With a multifaceted background in publishing, film, and media, I bring over a decade of experience in storytelling, editorial development, and content strategy.

I work one-on-one with writers at every stage of their journey, taking a holistic approach that blends editorial, productivity, career strategy, and well-being coaching to help them develop their craft, build sustainable writing habits, and act strategically to move toward their publishing goals with confidence.

My editorial expertise is broad, having worked as a freelance developmental editor and script consultant, been a prose reader at numerous literary journals, provided script coverage at Characters Talent Agency—one of Canada’s largest agencies, representing the country’s top actors, directors, screenwriters, and producers—as well as founding the newsletter at The Shit No One Tells You About Writing, a publishing podcast with over three million downloads, and co-founding Boola Bos, an online platform for writers.

In my client work and as former newsletter editor at The Shit No One Tells You About Writing, I’ve worked with bestselling authors, publishing industry experts, and emerging writers at every stage of their careers, and have worn many hats and gained diverse experience in writing, editing, brand strategy, social media management, copywriting and graphic design, analytics, blogging and content marketing, and beyond.

My writing on literature, art, and entertainment has appeared in The Irish Times, The National Post, Flare, Post City, and elsewhere. I publish a weekly creative nonfiction essay on Substack, as well as a weekly Boola Bos newsletter filled with advice for emerging writers. I am also at work on a novel.

I have a degree in filmmaking from the University of Winchester (UK) and a post-grad in screenwriting from Humber College (Toronto).

I honed my writing craft as assistant to Emmy Award-winning writer and director Patricia Rozema (Into the Forest, Mansfield Park, I’ve Heard the Mermaids Singing) and spent many years teaching screenwriting and filmmaking at the University of Toronto’s Hart House.

Whether I am helping you to make your manuscript the best possible version of itself, design a strategy to grow your author career, or overcome roadblocks stopping you from moving forward, I bring a sharp editorial eye, diverse experience, and a compassionate, strategic, and entrepreneurial practice to every project.
